Without Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the ANC does not actually exist - Hrant Bagratyan.

The difficulties the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) encountered in drafting its list of candidates showed that, but for Levon Ter-Petrosyan, the ANC would not even exist now.

At his Wednesday meeting with journalists, Hrant Bagratyan, Armenia’s ex-premier and Chairman of the Azatutyun party, which forms part of the ANC, said that the ANC has prepared its list. The ANC leader has “put it in order.”

“Our party agreed to any form. We should not interfere in this process. This discussion showed that, but for Ter-Petrosyan, the ANC does not actually exist,” he said.

Bagratyan noted he is likely to be among the first ten candidates on the ANC list.
