Khachatur Sukiasyan denies financial support to ANC.

The opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) member and well-known businessman Khachatur Sukiasyan—who will be running for a parliamentary seat in the upcoming National Assembly elections—denies allegations that he provided financial support to ANC. Sukiasyan himself informed this during a press conference on Wednesday.

“Im not that figure who needs to financially assist any [political] force. I deny that I financially assisted [the ANC]. I have been a member of the [ANC] movement, and I used my capacity to serve the movement,” he said.

And in response to the question as to whether he is concerned that the country’s Prosecutor General is supporting his challenger in the approaching parliamentary elections, Khachatur Sukiasyan simply said: “The Prosecutor General has no right to engage in politics.”
