Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan received Wednesday Maxim Travnikov, Russian Deputy Minister of Regional Development, press service of Ministry of Territorial Administration informed.
The interlocutors summed up the results of the first sitting of the Armenian-Russian task group on interregional issues, Armenian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation. The sitting was held March 13 in Gyumri, during which a number of agreements were reached. The Russian party conveyed the readiness of Arkhangelsk Province to sign an agreement on commercial-economic, scientific and cultural cooperation with the Armenian government.
Pointing out the importance of development of inter-regional cooperation between Armenia and Russia, Gevorgyan and Travnikov stressed the need of implementing the reached agreements in intended terms.
The interlocutors also referred to organizational issues of the 2nd Armenian-Russian interregional conference.
