Police Force Passport and Visa Department’s formal letter can`t serve base not registering me as MP candidate - Khachatur Sukiasyan.
Political
Armenia’s well-known businessman and the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress member Khachatur Sukiasyan submitted a petition to the Central Election Commission (CEC) and the capital Yerevan’s Electoral District No. 10 Election Commission (EC).
In his petition, Sukiasyan reflected on the Police Force Passport and Visa Department’s formal letter that was presented to (EC), according to which the Department’s official document—which it had earlier given to Khachatur Sukiasyan and which attested to his residency status in Armenia for the past five years—did not correspond to reality.
The Department’s formal letter had noted that additional studies were conducted, and as a result it was found out that Sukiasyan had not permanently resided in Armenia for the past five years.
“[…] We ask to not consider the Police Force Passport and Visa Department’s writing and, pursuant to the specified regulation, to register Khachatur Sukiasyan as MP candidate,” Khachatur Sukiasyan’s petition to CEC and EC specifically reads.
