Prosperous Armenia Party Congress kicks off in Yerevan: Boris Grizlov’s address introduced during the convention.

The Prosperous Armenia Party’s sixth congress kicked off on Saturday at capital Yerevan’s Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concerts Complex.

The coalition party appears at the event with a renewed website where the slogans “Building our country together” and "Believe trust and demand” catch the visitor’s eyes immediately. But the party also has other slogans that are not visible online.

Asked why the PAP has chosen so many slogans, Naira Zohrabyan, who is now in charge of the party’s pre-election campaign, said they are strictly demanded at present.

About 9,000 delegates from Russia, Ukraine, China and Croatia have arrived in Armenia to attend the event.

A representative of the Chinese Communist Party is expected to greet the participants. His welcome address will be delivered by Chinese diplomats.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan is attending the convention.

Head of RPA faction Galust Sahakyan, Chairman of Rule of Law Party Arthur Baghdasaryan, member of the same party Heghine Bisharyan, Hrant Margaryan and Armen Rustamyan from ARF, Vice Chairman of Heritage Party Ruben Hakobyan and others are also attending the congress.

Secretary of the Presidium of the General Council of United Russia, Sergei Neverov released Boris Grizlov’s address wishing success in the forthcoming elections.

In his address B. Grizlov expressed his hope that cooperation between Prosperous Armenia and United Russia parties would be strengthened and reinforced.
