National Assembly celebrates International Day of Francophonie.

National Assembly of Armenia celebrated the International Day of Francophonie with presentation of the French page of the parliament''s website.

National Assembly Speaker Samvel Nikoyan, MPs, Adviser to the Foreign Minister of Armenia on Issues of Francophonie, Ambassador Christian Ter-Stepanyan, ambassadors of France and Switzerland to Armenia, representatives of French organizations and educational establishments attended the event, National Assembly''s press service informs.

Deeply impressed by the attention paid to French language in the parliament of Armenia, French Ambassador to Armenia Anri Reno stressed this is not only a cultural and educational event, but is political significance as well. The ambassador noted that the translation of the webpage into different languages makes the parliament open for the world.

At the end of the meeting Armenian little singers performed famous and favorite French songs.
