Chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia receives World Bank Regional Director.

Chairman of the Armenian Central Bank Arthur Javadyan received March 20 the World Bank's Regional Director for the South Caucasus Asad Alam and members of his entourage. Press service of the Central Bank informs that the CB chairman hailed the investments made by the World Bank directed toward management of infrastructures, development of real sector of economy, signified the effective cooperation between the Central Bank and the World Bank addressed toward crediting of small and medium-sized businesses, noting the core role of the later in the development of business environment.

Asad Alam expressed gratitude for the reception and noted that during the 20 years of operation of the bank success has been registered. With the request of the guest the chairman of the Armenian Central Bank presented the main indices of Armenia's economy, the economic developments in Armenia, initiatives of the Armenian Central Bank. The parties also exchanged thoughts over implementation of joint programs.
