Armenia, Ethiopia interested in deepening relations.

The newly appointed Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Armenia, Kasahun Dender Melese, today handed over his credentials to Serzh Sargsyan.

Wishing the ambassador success in his new mission, the Armenian leader said that Ethiopia is one of the countries on the African continent which has centuries-old relations with Armenia and good bases exist for deepening and reinforcing the relations between the two peoples based on historic memory.

Serzh Sargsyan attached importance to the establishment of necessary legal framework with an aim of intensifying the Armenian-Ethiopian political dialogue. The parties praised the cooperation within international organizations.

Ambassador Kasahun Dender Melese said that for centuries Armenians have been contributing to the development of science and technologies in Ethiopia and they have warm feelings for Armenians. The ambassador stressed that the Government of Ethiopia is interested in developing relations with Armenia.
