Marxist Party leader David Hakobyan comments on candidates’ lists.

The ruling Republican Party’s list of parliament runners discloses the criminal colors of the Armenian bourgeoisie, according to David Hakobyan, the leader of the Marxist Party of Armenia.

At a news conference on Tuesday, the politician characterized the Republicans as the transformed members of the Armenian Pan-National Movement.

“They are a group of parasites and spongers who obtain mandates without exchanging a single word with the people,” he said.
As for the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC), Hakobyan hailed their persistent struggle.

“If they manage to gain at least 10 seats, [ANC leader] Levon Ter-Petrosyan can replace the entire team,” he said. “We do not have our equal in that respect.”

The Marxist leader said the candidates listed on the ANC ballot have enough intellectual power to stir up a revolution.

“This will be a parliament of revolution, which will be higher in terms of its intellectual potential,” he added.

Speaking about the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaksutyun (ARF-D), Hakobyan said the upcoming election could be their last chance “to point out to the real friends, as well as the enemies of the people.”
