Avet Poghosyan`s speech at March 30 ANC rally.

Doing away with intelligent people is Armenia’s priority task now, Avet Poghosyan, a candidate from the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) stated at the ANC rally in Yerevan’s Freedom Square on Friday.

“It is not the authorities or any political forces, but ordinary citizens that are masters of their choice. For more than a decade, Armenia’s authorities have been forcing intelligent people to leave Armenia,” he said. Each despotic regime is afraid of elections, which reveal its impotence. The forthcoming parliamentary elections are an opportunity for a new life, and the ruling regime is afraid of it, Poghosyan said.

The ANC will do its utmost for people to believe in elections, and the forthcoming elections are a serious opportunity for changes in Armenia.
