The Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) will celebrate Palm Sunday – the Tsakhkazard, on Apr. 1, AAC informs.

All Armenian Catholicos Karekin II declared the day a Day of Blessing the Children, in memory of the fact that during the entry of Jesus in the Temple of Jerusalem, children with rejoicing were crying: "Hosanna to the Son of David.”

The week in between the Tsakhkazard and the Easter, which will be celebrated on Apr. 8, is called the Holy Week.
