Administrative Court turns down Khachatur Sukiasyan’s application.

The Administrative Court of Armenia today rejected the application of senior opposition member Khachatur Sukiasyan who demanded the court to invalidate No. 6 decision of the Territorial Election Commission #10.
Earlier last week, the TEC refused to register pro-opposition tycoon and ex-member of Parliament Khachatur Sukiasyan as a deputy candidate. The Commission accounted its decision for a document provided by the Police Passport and Visa Department asserting that Sukiasyan has not been permanently residing in Armenia in the past 5 years, hence cannot be registered as a parliamentary candidate.
Before that, the Department said that Sukiasyan has resided in Armenia in those five years.
Neither Sukiasyan, nor his legal representative were in the court today.
