Google trends: The word ‘porno’ most widely searched by Armenians.

Search giant Google has found that the word ‘porno’ is most widely searched by Armenian users, the trend being predominant since 2004, sexologist Vrezh Shahrmanyan has said.
Other countries where the word is a popular search item are Turkey, Romania, Peru and Congo, which follow Armenia in the ranking. ‘Sex’ and ‘eroticisms’ also appear top key words searched in Google.
At a news conference on Friday, the doctor recommended filtering those words to ban their searches.
But psychologist Khachatur Galstyan disagreed with him, noting that such measure would not be an effective solution. According to him the lack of sexual education is the major cause of the problem.
“The problem is that sex education is a hidden issue. There are no sexual words in our vocabulary. We use either diminutive particles or rude words to express those concepts, which means such conversations are not even tolerated on our language thinking level,” he said.
The expert noted that a child searching the word “porno” on the internet needs information on sexual life, and recommended that parent answer them in case they ask questions on the topic.
“If they ask, they are ready to hear the truth. If you say something else, you teach them to cheat. It’s time to speak openly,” he added.
