In the upcoming Armenian parliamentary elections in Tavush region`s No. 40 precinct [center is Noyemberyan] three candidates are registered - "International Masis Tabak" company`s owner Marine Marabyan, the same company`s worker Susanna Abrahamyan and Noyemberyan`s Council member, the owner of a small company Varuzhan Babajanyan. All the three candidates are non-partisan.
Varuzhan Babajanyan, who is running for parliament from constituency No.40, has chosen Vano Siradeghyan's slogan used during the 1999 parliamentary elections - "We will not be guests in own homes."
Siradeghyan was prosecuted then and residents of Noyemberyan voiced their support for him.
Vano Siradeghyan was born in 1946 in Koti Village, Tavush Marz. Siradeghyan, who is wanted by the Armenian law enforcement bodies, is allegedly involved in the planning and carrying out of a number of ordered political murders of Members of Parliament and other top government officials.
To note, No. 40 precinct besides Noyemberyan`s 19 communties, also includes Ijevan`s 17 and Berd`s 8 communities.
Non-partisan Marine Marabyan was nominated by the RPA. MP Mikael Vardanyan from this precinct also will support her.
