Gallup International Association to conduct first-ever exit poll in Armenia.

Kancho Stoychev, Vice-President, Gallup International Association, believes that an exit poll can be conducted in Armenia.
At a meeting with journalists on Tuesday, he noted that the association has conducted surveys in Armenia to find out that it can conduct an exit poll without any difficulties.
People in Armenia can express their opinions, Kancho Stoychev said.
The Gallup International Association and the Armenia TV Company signed a contract on Tuesday. Under the contract, the company, in cooperation with Armenia’s parliament, will hold public opinion polls during the election period. On the election day, the first-ever exit poll will be conducted in Armenia.
Kancho Stoychev noted that an atmosphere of fear may create difficulties. However, he has not got the impression that there exists such an atmosphere in Armenia.
With respect to a study of national peculiarities Kancho Stoychev said that standard methods are applied as exit polls are a means of finding out social freedom levels.
In respond to the Armenian sociologist Aharon Adibekyan, who challenged the accuracy of Gallup polls, Kancho Stoychev said that following certain rules results in accurate polls. The point is that, in contrast to Gallkup, others do not follow the rules.
He noted that 400 people will be involved in the polls.
