The opposition Heritage party, which signed a declaration on inter-party electoral headquarters earlier this month, seems to be going to withdraw its signature.
During today's session at the central office of the Political Scientists Union, Heritage Vice-Chairman Ruben Hakobyan said his party would join the document providing that the leaders of the other three parties put their signatures.
On April 4, four political forces - Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun, Armenian National Congress (HAK) and Heritage signed a declaration on inter-party electoral headquarters in order to secure public control during the May 6 Parliamentary elections.
Today's session obviously turned into an argument, with the HAK coordinator and campaign manager Levon Zurabyan announcing that they are aiming their criticism at the ruling Republican Party. Ruben Hakobyan immediately remarked that the BHK is also responsible for the country's grave situation. He urged that the document be signed by the three parties, especially by BHK Leader Gagik Tsarukyan.
