Levon Ter-Petrosyan urged to vote in favor of any political force except the Republican party and the RLP.

There no equal political force to the Armenian National Congress (ANC) in the entire post-Soviet area, head of opposition bloc said.

Head of ANC Levon Ter-Petrosyan said the opposition bloc is accepted by the international community.

“All top officials visiting Armenia meet with president, prime minister, foreign minister and me. They realize ANC is a serious counterbalance to the authorities,” he told the voters in Yeghvard town.

Levon Ter-Petrosyan urged to vote in favor of any political force except the Republican party and part of it - the Rule of Law Party.

At the end of his speech Petrosyan mentioned that he would agree if the ARF-D will head the country, even the Communists but not  thieves and bandits, as well as the ruling party. 

The opposition bloc is scheduled to hold meetings with voters in Abovyan, Charentsavan and Hrazdan on Thursday.

Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.

ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
