"Any such incident, any violence is unacceptable for us," PAP representative Naira Zohrabyan said during the talk with LURER.com, commenting on the incident taken place in Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan, when Haykakan Zhamanak daily`s chief editor Nikol Pashinyan`s [who is running for parliament from election district #7] supporters were shown violence.
"To make silent the parliamentary candidates and their proxies in such methods is simply unacceptable, and we think the law enforcement bodies will react to the incident operatively and those guilty and responsible for it will be punished. The Prosperous Armenia Party has always stated that culture of civilized debate should be set up, all the candidates should be given equal chances to represent their programs and points of view. And boxing or smashing some people`s faces are not tools of civilized debate," said Naira Zohrabyan and again mentioned that she, as a parliamentary candidate, expects that the law enforcement bodies will react the incident and those guilty, no matter who they are, will get their deserved punishment.
