Vice-Chairman of the opposition Heritage Party Ruben Hakobyan says certain political forces in Armenia are engaged in anti-propaganda against his party.
"The three parties [Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK), Armenian Revolutionary Federation -Dashnaktsutyun and Armenian National Congress (HAK), that earlier agreed to establish election oversight headquarters, have agreed to neutralize Heritage," Hakobyan told a news conference on April 16.
Ruben Hakobyan does not think that the HAK is really seeking a change of power.
"We believe that all the three coalition forces should step down," said the Heritage vice-chairman.
He reiterated his party's demand that the document on the formation of joint headquarters be signed by the leaders of all parties, namely Serzh Sargsyan, Hrant Margaryan, Gagik Tsarukyan, Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Raffi Hovannisian.
"Otherwise the document will be formal," he concluded.
On April 4, BHK, Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun, HAK and Heritage signed a declaration on inter-party electoral headquarters in order to secure public control during the May 6 Parliamentary elections. However, the heritage announced later that it would join the document providing that the leaders of the other three parties put their signatures under the document.
