Armenia’s Ombudsman visits campaign headquarters.

Armenian’s Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) Karen Andreasyan, accompanied by other staffers of the Armenian Ombudsman’s Office, held a meeting with the heads of the campaign headquarters of the Heritage, Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) and Democratic Party of Armenia.

At the meeting, the Ombudsman specified his functions – advisory and observer ones. He informed the participants of the hotline and of the offices in Armenia’s six regions. Andreasyan re-affirmed his readiness to provide legal aid to all the political forces and parliamentary candidates. He stressed the importance of pre- and post-election cooperation. The Ombudsman’s office can also continue cooperating with the parliamentary forces during the next five years.

Under a preliminary agreement, Armenia’s Ombudsman is to visit the campaign headquarters of the Prosperous Armenia Party and opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC).
