Gyumri`s investigator’s death case in progress.

The RA Special Investigative Service continues the preliminary investigation into the case of the car that ran over and killed Senior Investigator of the SIS of the RA Police in Shirak province V. Beybutyan.

The preliminary investigation has shown that on April 13 at around 00:50, citizen of Gyumri, Rafik Muradyan (born in 1989) committed a violation of traffic laws while riding on G. Nzhdeh Street in Gyumri, ran over V. Beybutyan in front of the RA Police Gyumri headquarters and fled the scene of the accident.

V. Beybutyan died on the spot after suffering injuries.

Based on sufficient evidence, Muradyan on 15 April was charged with Article 242 (2) and Article 244 of the RA Criminal Code, and imprisonment was applied as a precautionary measure.
