The CEC rejects Vladimir Karapetyan`s appeal against Samvel Farmanyan.

The electoral commission of precinct N 2 held a session and heard the complaint filed by candidate of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Vladimir Karapetyan's proxy against candidate of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Samvel Farmanyan.

On April 14, Karapetyan's proxy P. Hovakimyan appealed to the N 2 Precinct Electoral Commission and noted that the HHK candidate Samvel Farmanyan had violated the demand in Article 20 (2) of the RA Electoral Code.

According to the appeal, more than 30 political advertisements of Samvel Farmanyan were posted on the walls of tall story buildings in the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th masses and Jrvezh district. It was also mentioned that according to Article 11 (9) of the RA law "On Administration of Condominiums", decisions on property management are taken based on a vote of at least two-thirds of the votes of property owners, which in this case was lacking.

After hearing the sides' arguments, the N2 PEC decided to deny the appeal filed by Karapetyan's proxy and explained that candidate Samvel Farmanyan had been given consent from the condominium ownership and the community head, and there could be no discussion on the violation of Article 20 (2) of the RA Electoral Code, reports the pre-electoral headquarters of Samvel Farmanyan.
