Dismissed YSLU principal Suren Zolyan refuses to leave the post.

The Principal of Yerevan State Linguistic University (YSLU) after Valery Bryusov Suren Zolyan responded to Armenian Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan’s order on his dismissal on Tuesday.
In his response Suren Zolyan mentiones that he is obliged not to fulfill Armen Ashotyan’s order according to the 5th part of the RA Code’s 15th article on ‘State non-commercial organizations’.
“I want to remind that, the Principal of YSLU is elected by the council of YSLU and the decision is confirmed by the government thus I would advise to hence follow the law on Legal Acts to escape further violations,” Suren Zolyan mentions in his response.
To note, today in front of Yerevan State Linguistic University (YSLU) after Valery Bryusov the students expressed their dissatisfaction against Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan connected with the decree signed on the eve due to which Suren Zolyan is dismissed as Rector of Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov and to terminate working contract N 134 signed on March 17, 2008. The decree was based on the minister's decrees N 160-A dated April 6, 2012 and N 173-A dated April 17, by which the rector was given "strict warnings".
