Armenian authorities are terrorizing citizens to keep them away from the rallies of off-parliament opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc, ANC member Gagik Jhangiryan said on Wednesday during the meeting in Vagharshapat city.
ANC another representative Aram Manukyan, said that the ANC’s target is ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) as many people were jailed for their political views under the ruling regime.
Armenia’s First President, ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan called the Vagharshapat residents not to vote for the current ‘criminal regime.’
“The regime was established by the second President Robert Kocharyan and inherited by the third President Serzh Sargsyan. There is no difference between those two,” Ter-Petrosyan concluded.
Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.
ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
