Head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan responded in Yeghegnadzor city during his meeting with the voters why he runs election campaign alone as opposed to the thought there are no other capable people.
“I have never escaped from my share of responsibility. And I run the election campaign as the head of the party. I would like to respond to all those wicked people who say there are no other capable people in the RPA. This does not correspond to reality. I am in focus as I lead the party and it will be not clear for many people, if I stay aside during such an important moment,” Sargsyan said.
He also added that the RPA has always showed respect to other political parties.
“This campaign should testify maturity of our political system. Labeling and slander should have no place in political life,” Sargsyan concluded.
The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is a ruling conservative party in Armenia founded on 2 April, 1990, and registered on 14 May, 1991, being the first officially registered socio-political organization in the independent Republic of Armenia.
The Republican Party of Armenia will run in the parliamentary elections under its new slogan: “Let us believe to change!” The Party’s proportional list includes 253 names.
RPA has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system in 33 electoral districts.
