The Catholicos of All Armenians appreciated the IAEA-Armenia cooperation.

The Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II, on Thursday received Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

The Catholicos appreciated the IAEA-Armenia cooperation aimed at the safe operation of the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant. He underscored the IAEA’s mission of enhancing nuclear energy and preventing the various hazards stemming from it.

Also, Karekin II reflected on the dangers of nuclear energy, and expressed a hope that such dangers will reduce owing to the IAEA’s efforts, and humanity will find alternative energy sources.
