The Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) and its leader Serzh Sargsyan held their rally in the Shengavit district today. The rally was held at Garegin Nzhdeh Square, and the streets near the square were closed down during Serzh Sargsyan's speech.
Sargsyan thanked the residents of Shengavit district for trusting the HHK in the previous elections and touched upon all the provisions stated in the HHK's pre-electoral program. He assured the gathered that by voting for the HHK, they would make the right choice since they would be able to see the Armenia of their dreams. According to Sargsyan, by voting for the HHK, everyone, including employees and employers would be content and would work in a more favorable environment.
Serzh Sargsyan addressed the residents of the district and declared: "I know that the biggest problem facing your district is the lack of jobs. I just visited the Ararat Factory in your district. It is a reprocessing factory that has managed to create more than 300 jobs in a short amount of time and will continue to do that."
Serzh Sargsyan called on the residents to vote for HHK deputy Koryun Nahapetyan at precinct N 8 in Shengavit district and the HHK's coalition partner BHK's non-partisan deputy Grigor Margaryan at precinct N 11. The HHK doesn't have a deputy candidate running through the majoritarian electoral order at this precinct. Sargsyan underlined that the HHK didn't need to lie and advocate hostility.
Sargsyan concluded his speech with the following: "I call on you to fulfill your civil duty on May 6. Set an example for our people and the world and you will see how the people and the world change right in front of your eyes."
Serzh Sargsyan's speech was immediately followed by a concert with performances by Armenian pop stars, but most of the gathered left the square while the concert continued in the rain. Serzh Sargsyan was accompanied by Mayor of Yerevan, HHK member Taron Margaryan during this and the other visits.
