Student of Yerevan State Linguistic University Narek Samsonyan was released a short while ago.

Suren Zolyan personally went to the Kentron police division and left with the students that had gathered there.

Suren Zolyan assured that he would appeal to the court to dispute the decision on his dismissal and would participate in the new elections for the university's rector.

As LURER.com earlier informed Yerevan State Linguistic University Chancellor Suren Zolyan was dismissed from his post on Tuesday under the order of Armenia’s Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan.

The Minister released twice strict reprimands against the Chancellor, as the latter disobeyed Ashotyan’s orders by participating for a session, which the Minister had considered to be inappropriate.

As a result, students made a protest action in front of the Ministry and the Government.
