Armenia Foreign Minister introduces steps taken by Armenia related to Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement

Edward Nalbandian’s official visit to the United Kingdom started with a meeting with UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Philip
Hammond on Sept. 9. “Armenpress” was informed from the Department of Press, Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia that Philip Hammond greeted Edward Nalbandian attaching great importance to  the continuity of active
high level contacts.

Edward Nalbandian noted that top level visits, parliamentary contacts have become frequent recently, business ties have become more active, which creates good prerequisites for the expansion and reinforcement of cooperation in various spheres. Republic of Armenia and Great Britain Foreign Affairs Ministers discussed the path to cooperation in various fields of the 2 countries.

Edward Nalbandian presented Philip Hammond with the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide and their essence. In this context Nalbandian thanked Great Britain for being co­author in March, 2015 “Prevention of genocide” resolution initiated by Armenia at the session of the UN Human Rights Council.

The interlocutors also discussed regional conflict settlement issues. Armenian Foreign Minister presented joint efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co­Chairs and Armenia directed towards peaceful settlement of NKR conflict.
