The acting regime relies on Serzh Sargsyan's son-in-law Mikael Minasyan (known as Mishik) as its last propaganda weapon, Coordinator of the Armenian National Congress (HAK) Levon Zurabyan said during the bloc's rally on April 20.

"Though Minasyan never makes public speeches or appears in the public, he is far more dangerous than many government-linked oligarchs," he said.

"Mikael Minasyan has created an entire empire of lies which aims to establish totalitarian system through manipulation of the media," said the HAK coordinator.

He bribes organizations conducting public opinion polls to place the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) in the leading place with about 30-40 percent of votes and to give the lowest rates to the HAK. In fact, we have the opposite picture," he said.

"Minasyan's primary objective is to disband the activity of the public oversight headquarters, which constitutes an explicit threat to the acting regime," he continued.

Levon Zurabyan stressed that it is not money, skinheads and TV company owners that win democratic elections, but people who have something to say and are ready to smash their opponents in public debates.

"This is the reason why the HHK refuses to debate with the HAK. As usual, they close in their homes, relying on criminal oligarchs. This again proves that the regime has nothing to say to people," he said.
