Off-parliament opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) considers the parliamentary elections as the first stage for presidential ones, ANC member Gagik Jhangiryan said at the rally in the Liberty Square on Friday.
“If anti-state ally wins, we will launch impeachment process in the next parliament. Those authorities have realized no election promise, otherwise they would be boasting with it, instead of saying to believe to change. We do not believe the claims by the authorities on holding free elections,” Jhangiryan stated.
Armenia’s former PM Hrant Bagratyan touched upon the economic situation in the state strictly condemning the Government policy.
Armenian National Congress (ANC) is an opposition bloc founded in 2008 after presidential elections. During the August 1, 2008, rally in Yerevan the first President of Armenia and ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan announced formation of the bloc. ANC comprises 18 parties and political forces.
ANC proportional list includes 119 names. It has also nominated MP candidates with the majority election system.
