Catholicos of All-Armenians receives participants of 6th All-Armenian Forum of Writers.

Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received the participants of the 6th All-Armenian Forum of Writers. As press service of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin informed, Chairman of Writers Union of Armenia Levon Ananyan greeted the catholicos on behalf of the writers and presented the Armenians and foreign guests arrived from 20 countries of the world to Armenia to participate in the forum. In his address Levon Ananyan referred to the goals and to the importance of the forum.

Expressing joy for the visit of about 40 writers to the Mother See, His Holiness attached importance to gathering of Armenian and Diaspora writers in Armenia, and urged them to refer in their writings to national issues with a new energy and stand up for the National Cause.

His Holiness Karekin II expressed gratitude to the board of the Writers Union of Armenia and Chairman of the Union for all the initiatives, thanks to which world-spread Armenian writers today can join their efforts to overcome the challenges of the contemporary life.

Wrapping up the meeting, His Holiness answered questions related to the Armenian Church, activity of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in educational and social spheres, as well as discussed the programs implemented by the Armenian Church in different communities of Diaspora for preservation of Armenian identity.
