Gayane Arustamyan, a deputy candidate running for next month's parliamentary elections from Constituency N 1, was the first to address opposition ralliers in Yerevan on Friday.
She called the participants of the rally ‘freedom fighters who have been fighting against Serzh Sargsyan and his Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) for five years now.
According to the deputy candidate, the regime led by Serzh Sargsyan has ‘twined fascist ideology around the necks of Armenian citizens.'
"Addressing the people of his country, Serzh Sargsyan usually says ‘My dear Armenians' thereby trampling on the rights of Yezidis, Kurds, Assyrians, Ukrainians, Jews and other nationalities who live in Armenia," she said.
Gayane Arustamyan stressed that desperate people are quitting the country; others are committing suicide. Middle-aged men are growing old in front of our eyes.
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) candidate views the May 6 parliamentary elections as a way out of the grave situation.
