We will work for the kind of Armenia where everyone has a job and enjoys a dignified life - President Serzh Sargsyan to Gyumri residents.

The residents of Gyumri have recovered their traditional sense of humor, looking upon life with more optimistism, president Serzh Sargsyan said at a meeting with the voters of the second largest city.

“Our common struggle is for a secure life. Gyumri is little by little recovering its renewed image, and the identity of people who have been and continue to remain our nation’s glory and honor. After heavy losses and a painful rupture, a resident of Gyumri is again becoming a world champion, opening a stadium and creating a professional club of football fans,” said the president.

Speaking of the parliament campaign, Sargsyan emphasized that the normal conduct of election is a “matter of honor and dignity for each and every of us”.

“I am sure that you will come through this test with flying colors. We consider the existing dissatisfaction an incentive to progress. We will work for the kind of Armenia where everyone has a job and enjoys a dignified life, with every child getting a quality education and an elderly person - enough pension to live in dignity,” he said.

At the end, the president called upon the population of Gyumri to vote in favor of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), and their majority candidate, Arman Sahakyan, who has nominated his candidacy in the city’s electoral district No. 34.
