Vazgen Safaryan, running for the parliamentary elections with the Armenia’s Communist party, said self-critical attitude of all the candidates running for parliament makes the difference between the current and previous election struggle.
‘The difference between the opposition and the authorities is that speaking about deficit the ruling parties voice the necessity of steps in that direction, forgetting that they were in power and should have made steps on time,’ Safaryan said.
According to the candidate liberal-oriented parties organize wider campaign as they have more means and parties having socialist ideas lack such opportunities.
‘Using administrative resources, the authorities bring people to the meetings on their vehicles. But today the liberalists plagiarized the ideas of the socialist parties and present them as theirs,’ he said.
Vazgen Safaryan noted that the implementation of changes in the social sphere is a necessity and everyone understands that it is impossible to continue in this way.
‘If they live up to our ideas, we will consider it our greatest achievement,’ Communist party member said.
