The joint headquarters to control elections is simply a simulation, deputy head of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Galust Sahakyan said commenting on the appeal by the joint headquarters to the Constitutional Court.

"Any joint headquarters, any political power can`t declare that they will apply to the Constitutional Court, they have no authorization," Sahakyan said. According to his words, there were the MPs who applied to the court.
Sahakyan believes that the joint headquarters cannot make an appeal as it lacks the necessary power. He states that two political powers, not the headquarters appealed to the Court.

Asked how he would comment on the fact that Prosperous Party of Armenia (PAP) MPs have also appealed the Court, while they were against such amendments months ago, Sahakyan said that it is not politically right, but “any party can determine its moves by itself”.
