Anyone attempting to rig elections on May 6 will be punished with all strictness of the law, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan told international observers today.
At a meeting with a delegation headed by Alexander Zincker, the President of the International Expert Center for Electoral Systems, the prime minister promised to rule out all kinds of attempts of ballot stuffing.
“We are very thankful to you for being next to us today. We will give you all the tools to fully implement your mission. We do sincerely wish this election to be the best in our history and we have done everything possible for that,” he said.
The observers highly praised the government’s reforms, noting that they laid the groundwork for the proper conduct of elections.
The sides further discussed the amendments to the Electoral Code, Armenia-EU relations, Armenia’s EU integration process and several other issues.
