The Central Electoral Commission of Armenia has counted around ninety percent of the votes—or the results from 1,793 constituencies—from Sunday’s National Assembly elections, and it shows the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress will enter the Parliament. The current results are as follows:
Republican Party of Armenia – 44.23% (589,784 votes)
Prosperous Armenia Party – 30.31% (404,105 votes)
ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party – 5.66% (75,493 votes)
Orinats Yerkir Party – 5.43% (72,443 votes)
Armenian National Congress – 7.01% (93,537 votes)
Heritage Party – 5.73% (76,377 votes)
Communist Party of Armenia – 1.06% (14,186 votes)
Democratic Party of Armenia – 0.36% (4,789 votes)
United Armenians Party – 0.20% (2,768 votes).
Eight political parties and one bloc participated in the parliament elections in Armenia: Republican Party of Armenian, Prosperous Armenia Party, Orinats Yerkir, Armenian National Congress, Heritage Party, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, the Communist Party of Armenia, Democratic Party of Armenia and United Armenians Party. For entering the 131-seat National Assembly (Parliament), the parties must poll over 5% of votes, while blocs - over 7%.
