Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) was more radical opposition during the campaign than the Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc, considering it so, political analyst, director of the Caucasian institute Alexander Iskandaryan said.
According to him, the PAP will continue being an opposition. ‘The PAP was a bigger threat for the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) than the ANC. The Prosperous Armenia adopted an opposition stance and will continue it,’ he said.
As to the formation of the coalition, the political analyst said unlike many others he is interested whether the PAP will be offered to form a coalition or not.
Leadership of at least six parties is discussing the issue within and between the parties.
“There are ready to sit at negotiating table,” the political analyst said. According to him, it may be done through holding rallies, signing an agreement or in another way.
“The journalists are concerned whether Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) will join the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA). I am suggesting another problem: will Prosperous Armenia be offered to join the coalition?” he noted.
On the whole, Alexander Iskandaryan is confident that, despite majority of votes poled by RPA, a coalition will be formed.
‘The coalition will be no matter the RPA is a majority or not,’ he added. Referring to the Rule of Law party Iskandaryan said it will be in coalition with the RPA.
