It became clear that the widespread electoral violations were planned - ARF-Dashnaktsutyun statement.

Declaration of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun on parliamentary elections in Armenia:

The subsequent parliamentary elections drew to an end and served as a new test in politics and morality for our state and the people.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun presented a clear-cut program, the realization of which would help us live in a qualitatively different country.

We held a strong election campaign, expressed our views to our voters and were understood. We thank all those who voted for the ARF-D.

Unfortunately, the elections didn't record the people's will and the real relationship between the political parties. It became clear that the widespread electoral violations were planned and they were held outside of the polling stations on May 6 and the days leading up to that. The members of the ruling coalition registered high results, first through the use of state and administrative levers and large, unprecedented financial resources that turned into electoral bribes. It is unquestionable that bribery had a decisive influence on the results of the vote.

This goes to show that the majority of the Armenian society, which is in a difficult social state, is legally defenseless and has been alienated from the government, didn't make a free and informed choice. The poverty and misery of the people through bribery and pressures ensured the authorities' regeneration.

This also means that the political parties, including the ARF-D still haven't been able to instill the awareness of being a free citizen and making a choice with dignity.

The ARF-Dashnaktsutyun, as an independent political party with specific principles, formulates this retreat as the beginning of a new phase of action, that is, the continuation of the struggle that will lead to change of power.

We are certain that sooner or later FREEDOM, JUSTICE and the FEDERATION will triumph in our independent country.
