Levon Ter-Petrosyan drops his mandate.

Speaking at a rally by the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) on Tuesday, Armenia’s first president, ANC Chairman Levon Ter-Petrosyan stated his intention to concede his right to seat in parliament to Armenia’s ex-premier, ANC member Hrant Bagratyan.
Ter-Petrosyan said he does it “in acknowledgement.” This is also “a great honor” for him.
The reason is that being an MP is “unbefitting” the ex-president.
"Dropping the mandate doesn't mean that I am preparing to leave politics," said Ter-Petrosyan, adding that Hrant Bagratyan would be his substitute in parliament.
