According to political technologist Karen Kocharyan the parliamentary coalition will remain the same.
Speaking to reporters today, he said the coalition will be formed by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Prosperous Armenia party (PAP) and Rule of Law.
The expert said Prosperous Armenia will hardly become an opposition. ‘The coalition will be the same. I do not imagine Gagik Tsarukyan-led PAP be in the opposition,’ he said, adding that the PAP has taken a break and protracts the decision to enter the coalition.
‘The PAP has taken a pause. They want to sell their entrance to the coalition at higher cost,’ Karen Kocharyan said.
Referring to the process of parliamentary elections, Kocharyan said, they are close to an ideal one and agreed with the assessment of observers.
The new parliament will be far from being ideal one as the political field is not ideal as well. Though, he said the newly formed parliament will be better than the previous one as they are a number of new people in the PAP and RPA. This time the NA will not be a club of button pushing people, but an arena of active discussions.
Referring to the presidential elections, Kocharyan said all the forces except ARF-D and Rule of Law party will nominate their candidates.
If the PAP nominates its own candidate, it will be ex-foreign minister Vartan Oskanian.
