Armenian national carrier Armavia company will not suspend talks on purchase of the second Russian Sukhoi SuperJet-100 after an air crash in Indonesia.
The company’s representative said that Armavia has been holding talks on new Sukhoi SuperJet-100 for two months, though the precise date of the purchase is not determined yet.
“We do not have serious claims; any aircraft has defects,” he told MIR TV channel.
He added it is too early to speak about the causes of air crash in Indonesia.
A handover ceremony of the first Sukhoi Superjet-100 that arrived in Armenia was held at the Zvartnots international airport in Yerevan in April 2011.
Last month head of Sukhoi Company Mikhail Pogosyan said Armavia will purchase another Sukhoi Superjet-100 in 2012.
