During its session tomorrow, the National Commission on Television and Radio will discuss the issue of making Kentron TV liable in accordance with Article 60 (7) of the RA law "On Television and Radio".
According to this stipulation, there is a fine established by the amount of a thousand of the minimum salary for broadcasting an election campaign program in the period that was prohibited by the RA law "On Elections and Rallies".
Host of the show "Urvagits" on Kentron TV Petros Ghazaryan has responded to the NCTR's decision on his Facebook page.
"There has not been any election campaign or anti-propaganda on Kentron TV on May 5 and 6 until 8 p.m. We simply provided coverage of the press conferences given by Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Levon Zurabyan live, and in that period Levon Zurabyan made a political call.
However, I am pleased to see that the corresponding authorities found the main electoral violation in the 2012 elections. Why didn't Amalyan notice the overt anti-propaganda during the 2008 elections? To find the answer to that question, I invite Mr. Amalyan to an interview on my television show."
