Why Aram Sargsyan wants to withdraw from the ANC? Questions having no answer!
Political
Aram Sargsyan, leader of Republic party, during today's meeting with reporters announced about putting down his parliamentary mandate, wishing Armenian National Congress (ANC) success in the coming parliamentary activity.
Sargsyan said his party is going to discuss the possible format of cooperation with the ANC and did not exclude their withdrawal from the opposition bloc, as we reported earlier.
"We have had some disagreements with the ANC over a number of interior political developments and foreign political issues. I have publicly voiced my opinion on these issues. I have always done my utmost for the common good, subordinating my personal interests to the good of the team and its objectives. I am deeply convinced that we all deserve to live in a completely different Armenia," Sargsyan tried to justify the variant of withdrawing from the ANC with the following way.
For me, as RA citizen, this justification did not seem completely convincing, especially when I remembered just final part of Aram Sargsyan's speech during the ANC's last pre-election rally (03.05.2012) - "While believing, let's believe in God, while voting, let's vote in favor of the ANC."
Here a question rises! Why on May 3 Aram Sargsyan did not freely speak about disagreements with the ANC over the party's vectors of activities, or a number of interior political developments and foreign political issues, but called on for voting in favor of the political force, with which, it turns out, the disagreements were so serious that just after a week the withdrawal from the opposition bloc would not be excluded? How did Aram Sargsyan urge "While believing, let's believe in God, while voting, let's vote in favor of the ANC", in favor of a political party, with which he had disagreements?
In response to this, the leader of Republic party during today's meeting with reporters asked them 'to keep the format of briefing and finish the meeting with his political statement.'
And Mr. Sargsyan, who will answer to my questions as a reporter and RA citizen?
