Oligarchs` return to parliament is direct threat to the state - Political analyst Richard Giragosian.

Political analyst Richard Giragosian says one of the pluses of the May 6 parliamentary elections was that the Armenian National Congress (HAK) garnered enough votes to be represented in the National Assembly.
"Today the HAK is the most dynamic and resolved opposition force in parliament. I am glad that both Hrant Bagratyan (HAK) and Vartan Oskanian (Prosperous Armenia Party-BHK) have been elected as NA MPs," the political analyst told a news conference on Friday.
Mr Giragosian says the primary problem of the opposition alliance [HAK] is to get adapted to the system. He is concerned that a number of oligarchs have been re-elected to the legislative body and says their return may tarnish the image of the parliament of the fifth convocation and that of the country.
The political scientist says the highlight of the elections was Edmon Marukyan's victory in a single-mandate constituency where his rival was Victor Dallakyan.
"People sold their votes were cheaply and missed the given opportunity. The authorities should accept that besides progress they also encountered numerous problems," he said.
The expert says all assessments [both positive and negative ones] given by the international organizations on the election results are accurate.
Richard Giragosian says he noticed in the preliminary conclusion of the OSCE Election Observation Mission that the international community is deeply disappointed with Chairman of the Central Election Commission Tigran Mukuchyan.
