NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan visits “Yerablur” Military Pantheon.

In the law “On RA Holidays and Memorial Days,” passed in 2001 by the RA NA, May 8 was fixed as “Day of Yerkrapah” (Country Keeper).
On May 11 the RA NA Speaker Samvel Nikoyan visited “Yerablur” Military Pantheon, laid flowers at the tombs of Sparapet (commander) Vazgen Sargsyan and freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives and crowned with glory for the borders of Armenia and defense of Artsakh, and honoured their memory in silence.
The NA Speaker took part in the event organized by the Union of Yerkrapah Volunteers.
Father Arshak Bishop Khachatryan, the Divanapet (Chancellor) at Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin offered Repose of Souls Service.
In their speeches the participants of the event underlined the Armenian freedom fighters’ selfless feat and emphasized the new generation’s upbringing with indestructible spirit.
The members of the “Young Yerkrapah” Club marched and showed their skills of the Oriental Fighting Arts dedicated to the Day of Yerkrapah.
