It would be correct if the ruling political coalition continued its activities, Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Vice-Chairman Galust Sahakyan stated during a press conference on Friday, and added that a clarification will be made in this regard prior to the next parliamentary session—which is slated for May 31.
“Everyone is interested whether [Prosperous Armenia Party Chairman] Gagik Tsarukyan has met with [Armenia’s President and RPA leader] Serzh Sargsyan. These discussions could take place any time because they are the leading political forces,” Sahakyan stressed.
To note, the matter of forming a coalition was not taken up during Thursday’s session of the RPA Executive Body. And according to RPA Spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov, Serzh Sargsyan is meeting with leaders of the political forces, including Gagik Tsarukyan, and these meetings are still in progress.
