Armenia`s Republican party issues a statement:

Dear compatriots,

Based on the results of the May 6 nationwide elections, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), receiving the majority of the people's votes, expanded its role in the country's public and political life. This gives us the opportunity to implement the provisions stated in the HHK's platform and ensure Armenia's stable and ongoing development to become the main warrantor of the society's expectations and changes.

We thank our people and political parties for their participation in holding good elections in our country.

We are grateful for the appreciation of and trust in our party.

The Republican Party of Armenia is ending its series of political consultations to strengthen the positive environment created in Armenia after the parliamentary elections and to ensure an atmosphere of cooperation for development. On May 31, ahead of the first session of the new National Assembly, the RPA declares:

1. Assuming the whole volume of duties reserved for the political majority in the National Assembly by the RA Constitution, we, as in the past, are certainly in favor of public solidarity and multilateral cooperation.
2. In that context, we are willing to discuss all political parties' reasonable proposals for the benefit of our country's development and for creating a better Armenia for all of us.
3. As a responsible political party, throughout the existence of our party in the past 20 years, we have served for the development and reinforcement of our statehood and have done everything possible to solve the issues facing our country and our people. From now on, the RPA will take the main responsibility of implementing its programs with commitment.
