Many of the film directors who are included in the competition program of the Cannes Film Festival have previously been invited to Golden Apricot Film Festival.

Iranian film director Kiarostami Abbas who has been the guest of Golden Apricot in 2006 and 2011 will present his ‘Like someone in love’ film during the competition program of Cannes Film Festival.

Leos Carax’s ‘Holy Motors’ will be presented during Cannes Film Festival this year. In 2007 Golden Apricot film festival organized a screening of all Carax films.

Austrian film director Ulrich Seidl who was in Golden Apricot in 2007 will come up with his ‘Paradies. Liebe’ (‘Paradise. Love’) film during Cannes film festival this year.

Sergei Loznitsa, who has visited Golden Apricot twice, will present his “In mist’ film which is considered a favorite.
